The Sound of Summer

Who wouldn't recognize this iconic image? Well... not this image exactly, but the image it portrays! Which is, of course, Mickey Mouse :) That's right, this is where I will be this upcoming summer!! And I am SO excited, I just can't wait :D

Disneyland is by far, my most favorite place on Earth. I turn into a complete little kid every time I visit there (which probably isn't saying much... since I already act a bit childish now). My family used to go there every year, back when I lived in California. Since our move, we barely find time to go. And it has been a couple of years since our last visit. My dad is always so busy with work and what not, we barely have time for family vacations or family time :( But thankfully, my dad has decided to take two weeks off from work, in order for us to all hang out together and go on a road trip :D

We plan to drive to California, by going down through Texas and Arizona and all those states down there, and then up into California! We are going to stay three nights at one of the Disneyland hotels, which is VERY exciting!!! We already made reservations ahead of time, to ensure we get a nice hotel and room :) Then after three days and nights of Disneyland, we plan to visit all sorts of places in Cali! My mom would like to drive up to San Diego, so we could go to Sea World. And after that, by my request, we would drive up to San Francisco to visit none other then the... Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory!!! <3 :D (This is what I am most excited for hahaha!!) My mom and dad would also like to take us to some giant miniature golf park that they used to go to all the time, which is neat, because I love mini golf! We plan to visit all sorts of places, and the list includes: Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, and Medieval Times! Maybe I can even visit a few of my friends in Cali while I am there :) One of the things I am looking most forward to, is my mom and dad would like to take us to the Church where they got married. I am a sucker for romance, and I find that to be a very heartfelt gift to them. And then of course, just a bunch of sight seeing on the drive back home, in which we are taking the alternate route back, by driving up through Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming!

However, that is not all I plan to do this summer! :) I have a lot more in store as well! Disneyland may be the highlight of it, but I also plan to take a couple road trips and visit some friends of mine elsewhere! I have been meaning to go to Washington for a while now, to visit my friends up there, Chris, Chad, and Clayton. I already told Clayton about this, and he has kindly offered up his guest room for me to stay in! Thank goodness, that cuts down costs from hotel fee's a lot!! I am very grateful he is letting me stay with him and his family. I will make sure to thank them generously before I leave haha I wasn't sure what time I should go to Washington, but Clayton also told me about this thing called Video Games Live, which is an orchestra that travels around, and plays video game music!! It is so neat :D And I had never heard of it before, until now. I definitely want to go see it, and it just so happens that the orchestra will be in Washington in July or August. Quite the coincidence, huh? So I am planning to visit Washington while the orchestra is there, so me and Clayton can attend it together! :)

My sister, Amanda, also plans to visit her boyfriend Danny during the summer. He lives in Ohio, and our parents really don't like us going off on our own. But we are determined to go anyways! And if she goes, I am going too :) I have to meet her boyfriend in person after all!! Have to see if I approve of him or not ;o

I also hope to visit my friend Nick, who lives up in Canada. Not quite sure how that is going to work... being flights to Canada don't come cheap :/ But Nick already said he would let me stay with him in his apartment, which saves on costs. So all I have to worry about is the ticket money! He will help drive me around and pay for everything else :)

Not sure when I will be doing any of this, being I have summer school for almost my whole summer... but I am trying to fit in these trips somehow. Maybe during the weekends or something! So we shall see how this goes :) Talk about motivation man!! I am SO excited, and just can't wait for this summer already :D I hope school goes by fast, so I can celebrate sooner!
