This post is a tad bit late, I have just been really busy with school lately and have not had the time to update! :( But this post is dedicated to our family's cat, Peaches, who recently passed away.
Everyone in our family pretty much claimed one of our five cats as their own. We have had these cats for a long time, since back in California. We found all of them either as stray cars outside our house, or randomly in our house! I guess I should say some history about them first. The first cat we got was Peaches, so she was the oldest. I believe we found her in our front yard back in California. Same with our cats Bonnie and Clyde: they are twin cats who we found as kittens out in the bushes in front of our house. Apparently their mom had them and just left them there :( So sad!! So we took them in :) Then there is Sparkles, who we found IN our house back in Cali. In the bathroom on our mail level, we kept hearing some weird meow's coming from it. So we had our neighbors from across the street come over, and help tear down the whole sink cabinet in the bathroom!! And to our surprise, there were two kittens behind it D: We have no clue how they got built into the house LOL So we kept one of them, who became Sparkles :) I am not sure how we found our last cat Fluffles... I will have to talk to Amanda about that to refresh my memory.
SO yes. Those were our cats: Peaches, Fluffles, Sparkles, and Bonnie and Clyde. They have been with us since we were little kids in Cali, and we took them all out here when we moved. They are all probably about 12 or older in years, so they have been with us a long time. Clyde was my favorite of the cats, but he passed away a couple years ago. It was very devastating :/ He was the first to go. Then next was his sister Bonnie. My mom was saddened by that loss. And now it came time for Peaches to move on. We knew this day was coming. Peaches, normally a very fat cat, had lost a lot of weight and became very skinny, which is never a good sign in cats :/ And the past week or so before her passing, she had been walking funny. We knew it was time for her to go. So we took her to the vet and put her down.
Just how Clyde was my cat, Peaches was Amanda's cat. I know it was very hard on her. She cried a lot, and I wish I could have done something for her to comfort her, but I just couldn't. You can't replace a pet of yours. Sometimes I wish people wouldn't get to attached to animals. It always makes everything so hard :(
Peaches ended up being put down on February 15, the day following Valentine's Day, so Amanda wasn't very pleased that was her gift. But she is doing better now :)
I just wanted to dedicate this post to her. Even though I didn't like her much, I will miss her fatness, and her eye gunk she always got on me, and her drool, and her sharp claws that always got stuck on my clothes. She was a good cat :) I am proud of Amanda for pulling through this. I would like to wish Peaches the best in Kitty Heaven, and hope she gets a ton of cat nip to play with ;) hahaha!
You will be missed Peaches.
