Sleepless in Seattle

Oh, if only my life could end up as romantic as that movie! But no, no. This post has nothing to do with the movie. But it does have to do with Seattle!

I talked to my friend Clayton again the other day, and we got on the subject about my trip to Washington once more. So we talked about it, and he began to try and plan out some of it, so this is just a quick update on it! :)

Since I have summer school for basically my whole summer, the only time I would be able to go to Washington would be on the weekend, when I have no classes! So I told him I would pretty much only be able to stay 3 days because of that, since I would have to be back on Monday for my classes, sadly :(

But that didn't cut down his enthusiasm! He already said I could stay with him and his family in his house, apparently they already said it's okay. Which is a HUGE life-saver, because hotels cost so much money!!! D: So I will have to think up a big way to thank them for that! The neat thing is, I already checked flight costs, and flying from Denver to Portland is only $213 round-trip. Very cheap if you ask me!! Clayton offered to help pay for ticket costs, but I already told him he was doing enough by letting me stay with him :) I don't want to feel like a burden!

He told me his plans for the three days so far. Nothing is set in stone, but so far he said we should spend one whole day in Seattle. Apparently it is a huge city and has a lot of neat things to do there! Such as the original Starbucks, some neato music Museum, the Seattle Space Needle of course, the college I might be attending, and of course, SHOPPING!! :D My favorite activity ;) Can't wait for that.

Then we planned the other couple of days out, the next day would be spent in Portland sight seeing. He said Portland is just a really weird city in general... not sure why, but I guess I will find out for myself when I visit! I guess it has this donut shop named "VooDoo Doughnuts" and it has REALLY weird donuts to choose from!! Like, cereal donuts, and fruit donuts, and.... I don't know. Just a lot of weird ones haha So we will be going there to experience weird donuts ;) I don't mind it, since anything that involves food sounds amazing to me! <3

Our last day will be spent just traveling around more rural areas to get a glimpse of the outdoors. We might hit up the beach for a little bit just to check it out, but Clayton claims Washington has a lot of scenic areas to go through. Which I believe!! It looks very pretty, especially since it is located so close to the ocean. I guess there are some Japanese Gardens we can go to, or mountain trails we can hike, and other things of the sort! I love nature and the outdoors, so I am most excited about that.

ALSO there is this one cafe somewhere in Washington, that makes these HUGE pancakes, called mancakes. (LOLmancakes) That Clayton promised to take me to!! So we will fit that in somewhere. I mean... c'mon, it's food, how can I say no? :(

That's the update for now. Honestly, planning it all out just makes me 5x more excited about it!! I really can't wait to go visit :D I am looking forward to it a ton! So hopefully summer gets here fast haha I will definitely be taking a butt load of pictures when I go visit ;)
